Permanent Buildings

Modular construction is not only suitable buildings; it is applicable to permanent buildings. Modular construction can be used on its own, or integrated with traditional methods, whilst using traditional methods to finish the building on site. Volumetric modular construction, where complete modular building units are delivered on site, is particularly suitable for;

Sites where disruption to other activities on the site, or the local neighbourhood, needs to be kept to a minimum.

Projects where overall construction time need to be kept to a minimum (off-site construction allows modules to be built while the ground works are carried out).

Buildings that may need to be expanded, or even relocated, at some point in the future.

Some sites, where difficult access makes traditional construction unsuitable, but modular units can be craned in over other buildings.

Modular buildings can be designed around a regular grid, where open spans are up to 12m (40') and where high ceilings are not required. Modular buildings can be combined with traditional structures, such as offices, classrooms, changing rooms, or wards that are grouped around atriums, halls, sports halls, or other large open spaces.
